News: Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Police Department was at the scene of a pedestrian accident on Tuesday night, KSHB reported.

 

Police said a male pedestrian was crossing at the intersection of Independence Avenue and Cleveland Avenue at about 8 p.m. when he was hit by a westbound Mitsubishi Diamante.  The pedestrian was seriously injured and transported to an area hospital.

 

According to police, the driver of the Mitsubishi left the scene of the accident but returned minutes later.

 

The driver refused treatment at the scene.
