KANSAS CITY, MO – A pedestrian was struck and killed on Blue Ridge Boulevard in Kansas City in what police labelled as a hit-and-run, according to KSHB.
The collision took place Wednesday night near East 103rd Terrace. An investigation determined that the victim was walking across Blue Ridge Boulevard from east to west and was struck by at least one vehicle in the middle of the southbound lanes.
The pedestrian, a male whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who hit him left the scene without stopping to help, police said. 103rd Terrace was shut down in both directions for the accident response and investigation.
