News: Pedestrian, 34, fatally struck by vehicle at Holmes Rd and 103rd St

KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident that killed a pedestrian in Kansas City early Saturday morning is under investigation.

 

According to a report by KCTV, the victim was walking south on Holmes Road near 103rd Street when the incident occurred at about 3:39 a.m.

 

Investigators said the pedestrian was struck by a white Jeep Patriot heading south on Holmes Road in the third lane of travel. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Reeva Bell, was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The Jeep driver was not hurt in the crash and stayed at the scene. Police do not believe driver impairment was a contributing factor in the accident.
