News: Multi-vehicle accident in Kansas City leaves 2 critically injured

KANSAS CITY, MO – A multi-vehicle accident in Kansas City Thursday night left two people hospitalized, KSHB reports.

 

Police said the driver of a Toyota Corolla was speeding while heading south on Prospect Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. and rear-ended a Honda CRV near the intersection of Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard.

 

The Toyota struck a concrete barrier while continuing south on Prospect Avenue and then hit a parked Chevrolet Equinox before ending up in a grassy area.

 

Two people were extricated from the Toyota and rushed to an area hospital. Their names were not released.

 

Kansas City police are continuing to investigate the wreck.
