News: Motorcyclist, passenger killed in accident on I-65 in Saline County

SALINE COUNTY, MO – Two people on a motorcycle died following an accident in Saline County on Tuesday afternoon, state troopers said.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, 29-year-old Dylan L. Giffen of Malta Bend was riding a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle south on U.S. 65 at Arbor Road at 4:35 p.m.

 

The motorcycle struck the towed unit of a southbound 2018 Kubota tractor driven by 28-year-old Anthony W. Bryson of Waverly, who was trying to turn left onto Arbor Road.

 

After the impact the motorcycle crossed over into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by 47-year-old Barbara M. Jarvis of Carrollton.

 

Giffen and a passenger on the motorcycle, 41-year-old Jaime E. Kelly of Waverly, were pronounced dead at the scene. Bryson and Jarvis were not injured.
