KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident in Kansas City, Missouri late Saturday night left a motorcycle rider critically injured, according to a WDAF report.
It happened in the area of Van Brunt Boulevard and East 31st Street, where police and emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 11:50 p.m.
Investigators determined that a man was riding a Honda motorcycle at a high rate of speed while heading west on East 31st Street. He lost control of the bike and collided with a curb on the center median in the middle of Van Brunt Street. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle onto a curb. He was rushed to an area hospital with injuries described as life-threatening.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time the incident occurred, police said.
