INDEPENDENCE, MO – A motorcycle rider died after colliding with a box truck in Independence Friday afternoon, reports KCTV.
The crash took place in the area of US 24 and Noland Road shortly after 1 p.m. Investigators said the driver of the box truck was turning left from westbound US 24 to an alley when the vehicle was hit by a motorcyclist going east.
The motorcycle rider suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the box truck was not injured and was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
Independence Police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
