KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a dump truck and a mini bike were involved in a deadly collision in east Kansas City on Wednesday night.
The Kansas City Star reported details of the crash, which occurred on Manchester Trafficway near Interstate 70 at about 10:30 p.m. Responding officers learned that the operator of the mini bike was going north on Manchester Trafficway and did not have the headlights on. The bike collided with a southbound Mack dump truck whose driver was making a turn from Manchester onto the entrance ramp of I-70.
The rider of the mini bike was ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
