News: Kansas City police officer among 2 injured in crash at intersection

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department said one of its officers was injured in a collision with a motorist Monday afternoon.

 

According to KCTV, the crash involving a marked police vehicle and a Chevrolet sedan happened at the intersection of Linwood Boulevard and Indiana Avenue.

 

Police said the officer was responding to an emergency call at about 3:30 p.m. with the vehicle’s lights and sirens on. As the officer headed south on Indiana Avenue, a Chevrolet Malibu going east on Linwood entered the intersection and struck the marked police vehicle.

 

The officer and the other driver both sustained minor injuries in the collision, which remains under investigation.
