News: Kansas City man killed in motorcycle accident in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, MO – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Clay County on Sunday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

 

According to the MSHP’s crash report, the accident happened on Highway H at Mosby Road South at about 11:30 a.m.

 

State troopers said 35-year-old Aaron Stilwell was driving a 2022 Triumph Tiger Sport eastbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the left side of the roadway, and traveled down an embankment.

 

The motorcycle struck a fence and Stilwell was ejected.  The rider, a Kansas City resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Stilwell was wearing a helmet at the time, troopers said.

 

Troop A of the MSHP was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
