KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident involving a pickup truck in Kansas City left a driver critically injured, reports KCTV.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon on an entrance ramp from westbound E. 63rd Street onto Interstate 435 south at about 2:25 p.m. Kansas City police say the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling at high speed and lost traction while turning onto the ramp from 63rd Street.
The Tacoma went off the left side of the entrance ramp and struck an embankment. The driver was transported to an area hospital with what were described as critical injuries.
Investigators looking into the wreck believe impairment was a contributing factor.
