News: Driver, passenger injured when stolen motorcycle crashes in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police said two people were hospitalized after a stolen motorcycle collided with a pickup truck early Saturday morning, KSHB reports.

 

According to police, the driver of a stolen Tao Motors motorcycle was going west on Mexico City Avenue near the Kansas City International Airport at about 3:50 a.m. and did not stop at a traffic signal. The bike was hit by a Chevrolet 271 pickup truck that was going south through a green light on Lisbon Avenue.

 

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were thrown from the bike. The driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and the passenger was seriously injured. Police said neither person was wearing a helmet at the time.

 

No injuries were reported for the five people in the pickup truck.
