KANSAS CITY, MO – A single-vehicle crash near the Kansas City International Airport sent a driver to the hospital with critical injuries, KCTV reported.
The incident took place Saturday night on Interstate 29 near NW 112th Street at about 9:45 p.m.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox lost control of her SUV after hitting a pool of water on I-29. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and collided with a guardrail.
The motorist, 28-year-old Jaclynn D. Grieme of Clinton, Missouri, suffered injuries described as life-threatening and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital. The MSHP said she was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.
