News: Crash on Route B in Pettis County leaves 3 injured, 2 seriously

PETTIS COUNTY, MO – A child was among three people hospitalized following a wreck in Pettis County Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

 

The MSHP’s accident log states that the incident took place on Missouri Route B just north of Ragar Road at about 6:50 p.m.

 

It was reported that the driver of a 2006 Ford was passing another vehicle while traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. The driver of a 2018 Acura overtook and struck the Ford.

 

The driver of the Acura, 23-year-old Sofia Oleynic of Green Ridge, and a passenger, a 3-year-old Sedalia boy, were transported to University Hospital. The woman was seriously injured while the child had moderate injuries. The driver of the Ford, 22-year-old Tylor Washington of Sedalia, was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.

 

The child was not wearing a safety device, troopers said.
