News: Collision involving car and semi in North Kansas City kills 1, injures 4

KANSAS CITY, MO – Authorities said one person was killed and four others injured in a collision in North Kansas City on Thursday morning.

 

According to KMBC, the accident involving an SUV and a semitruck occurred on 210 Highway near Armour Road at about 11:15 a.m.  An initial investigation determined that the driver of the SUV was turning left on the roadway in the vicinity of Walker Road and collided with the trailer of a semi that was hauling grain.

 

The SUV driver died at the scene, while four of the vehicle’s passengers were injured, one critically.  The truck driver was not injured.

 

Police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
