News: Car slams into disabled vehicle on Route Z in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – A driver was taken to the hospital following a collision in Lafayette County on Monday afternoon, state troopers said.

The incident occurred along Route Z at Mountain View Drive, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report.

The MSHP said a 2010 Ford had become disabled in the roadway due to inclement weather at about 5 p.m.  The driver of a 2013 Toyota tried to overtake the Ford and struck the car on the driver’s side.

The driver of the Toyota, 18-year-old Domanic Sizemore of Holden, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center.  He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, troopers said. No other injuries were reported.

Both vehicles were damaged and towed away from the scene.
