News: Bicyclist critically injured after colliding with SUV in Riverside

RIVERSIDE, MO – Police said a man riding a motorized bicycle was critically injured in a crash in Riverside on Saturday evening.

 

According to KCTV, the 69-year-old victim was riding in the area of NW Northwood Road and NW Merrimac shortly before 5 p.m. when he was involved in a collision with an SUV.

 

Police and emergency crews responded to the scene and found the victim, who was hospitalized with what were described as life-threatening injuries. The SUV was being driven by a 16-year-old male, police said. The bike rider and SUV driver are both Riverside residents.

 

The accident remains under investigation by Riverside police.
