KANSAS CITY, MO – Kansas City police were at the scene of a collision that left a bicyclist critically injured Monday morning, according to a report by WDAF.
The bicyclist was involved in a crash with a minivan in the area of NE 81st Terrace and NE Flagor Road. Authorities said the bicycle rider was heading east on NE 81st Terrace and was struck by a Honda Odyssey as the driver of the minivan was making a turn from NE Flagor onto NE 81st Terrace.
The rider was knocked off the recumbent bicycle and landed on the shoulder of the roadway. The bicyclist was hospitalized in critical but stable condition. The Honda driver was not injured.
Kansas City police are investigating the cause of the accident.
