News: Bates City man struck, killed by vehicle in Lafayette County

BATES CITY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Bates County.

 

According to KMMO, the crash happened March 18 on Mountain View Road east of Route Z at 2:43 a.m.

 

The MSHP crash report said 27-year-old Justin Towne of Bates City was in the roadway when he was struck by an eastbound 2010 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 27-year-old Amber Willard, also of Bates City.

 

Towne was pronounced deceased at the scene.
