JOHNSON COUNTY, MO – Four people were injured when their vehicle crashed in Johnson County last week, state troopers said.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s accident report, the crash occurred Wednesday at US Highway 50 at NW 201 Road west of Warrensburg at about 9:15 p.m. The MSHP said 46-year-old Bennie J. Jett of Camdenton, Missouri was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer westbound when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway.
The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned, ejecting Jett and her passengers, three girls ages 12, 11, and 11. None of them were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
The three girls, all Camdenton residents, were seriously injured while Jett sustained moderate injuries. All were transported to Children’s Mercy by Johnson County Ambulance District.
