News: 4 injured in rollover accident on I-70 east in Lafayette County

LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO – Four people were injured in a rollover crash in Lafayette County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

 

The incident took place shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Interstate 70 eastbound at mile marker 46.

 

The MSHP said the driver of a 2017 GMC Acadia traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, and overturned.

 

The driver, 25-year-old Marquil Johnson, and three passengers, 27-year-old Bailie Chambers, a 4-year-old girl and a baby boy, all sustained minor injuries.

 

The four injured victims, all from Kansas City, were taken by Higginsville EMS to Centerpoint Medical Center for treatment.

 

State troopers said all four were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
