News: 3 seriously injured in Kansas City car wreck involving speeding driver

KANSAS CITY, MO – A high-speed car crash at an intersection in Kansas City left three people injured, police said.

 

KSHB reports two cars collided Monday night in the area of East 54th Street and Troost Avenue at about 7:15 p.m. Investigators said a man was driving an Infiniti at a high rate of speed while headed south, and slammed head-on into a Hyundai.

 

The driver of the Infiniti and two women who were in the Hyundai were hospitalized with serious injuries.

 

An investigation is underway into whether the Infiniti driver was under the influence at the time the accident occurred.
