JACKSON COUNTY, MO – A crash in Jackson County early Thursday morning sent three people to the hospital, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened on eastbound US 50 at Milton Thompson Road, according to the MSHP’s accident report.
State troopers said 26-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez of Kansas City, Kansas was driving a 2023 Dodge at about 1 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned multiple times, and came to rest on its wheels. Rodriguez was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Centerpoint Hospital with serious injuries.
Two passengers were also hospitalized. 29-year-old Juan Rodriguez was seriously injured while 32-year-old Israel Rodriguez sustained moderate injuries.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. The MSHP was assisted at the scene by Lake Lotawana police and Lone Jack police.
