News: 2 teens hurt when car goes off road, overturns in Ray County

RAY COUNTY, MO – The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a car wreck in Ray County that injured two teenagers on Tuesday afternoon.

 

According to the MSHP’s accident report, the incident happened in the area of Crispin Street and Letzig Lane.

 

The driver of a 2008 Ford Focus was headed east at 2:22 p.m. and traveled off the right side of the road, where the car then overturned.

 

A passenger, a 14-year-old girl, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Richmond Hospital.  The driver, a 16-year-old boy, sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

 

Neither of the occupants was wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, state troopers said.  Both are residents of Richmond, Missouri.
