INDEPENDENCE, MO – The Independence Police Department said two pedestrians were taken to the hospital after being struck by a car last Wednesday afternoon.
KCTV reports the incident happened in the vicinity of Missouri 78 Highway and Savage Street.
An investigation indicated that the driver of a 2017 Ram 2500 was turning east onto Missouri 78 at about 12:30 p.m. and collided with the pedestrians.
Both were hospitalized, with one of the victims listed in critical condition. The driver of the Ram stayed at the scene and cooperated with police as they continue to investigate the incident.
