News: 2 drivers injured in collision at 83rd and Troost Avenue in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO – Police said a two-vehicle collision in Kansas City on Friday morning left both drivers injured.

 

According to a KSHB report, the driver of a Chevy Silverado was traveling at high speeds north on Troost Avenue shortly before 7:50 a.m. and swerved to avoid a Honda that pulled out onto the roadway.

 

The Chevy driver entered the southbound lanes, locked his brakes, and struck a GMC Terrain near 83rd Terrace.

 

The GMC crashed into a metal utility pole, while the Chevy overturned onto its side   The driver of the GMC, a female, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries while the Chevy driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
