KANSAS CITY, MO – A collision at an intersection in northwest Kansas City Wednesday night left two people dead.
A report by KSHB stated that the crash occurred in the vicinity of NW 68th Street and N. Liberty Street at about 8 p.m.
An initial investigation by Kansas City police indicated that the driver of a BMW was headed east on NW 68th Street at a high rate of speed and crashed into a Toyota making a turn at N. Liberty Street, causing the Toyota to go off the road.
The male driver of the Toyota and his female passenger were both pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The BMW driver refused medical treatment and stayed at the scene.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
