News: Lanes shut down on Interstate 35 in Kansas City after semi-truck crashes into bridge

KANSAS CITY, MO – An accident involving a semi-truck shut down a portion of Interstate 35 in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday morning, KSHB reported.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene near Northeast Vivion Road after the incident was reported at about 9:50 a.m.  The MSHP said a semi carrying an oversized load of equipment crashed into a bridge.

No injuries were reported, but the crash closed the northbound lanes of I-35 for several hours while emergency crews were responding. Traffic was backed up to N. Chouteau Trafficway.
